WEEKLY CLASSES

All Face to face classes are temporarily suspended. Lina is offering live group classes and now workshops via Zoom (like Skype). It is important to keep your body moving during this time, so live classes will help you to keep to your regular routine without leaving the house. Classes and workshops are currently open to anyone who wishes to attend. 

ABOUT

YOGA 

The primary aim of yoga is to harmonise body, mind and breath. This brings about sense of calm. This comes from the practice of asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing), deep relaxation and meditation techniques.

Yoga gently rejuvenates the body and by restoring the body, yoga frees the mind from the negative feelings and stress caused by the fast pace of modern life. 

The practice of yoga creates a sense of well-being and optimism within you. 

 

To gain maximum benefit from yoga please note the following information:

  • It is advisable not to eat a heavy meal within 2 hours of the start of your class

  • Wear loose comfortable clothing - lots of layers, and remove any dangling jewellery.

  • Please ensure mobile phones are switched off for the duration of the class.

  • Please bring a blanket for warmth in relaxation.

  • If you have a heavy period or a cold, head down and inverted postures may be uncomfortable - alternatives will be given.

  • Yoga is done in bare feet for safety.

  • Some postures should not be performed if you have certain health conditions or are pregnant.

  • Let me know of your health conditions by filling in the course registration questionnaire.

  • Let me know if your conditions change on the day.

  • You know your own body best. If you feel some postures are not right for you, then please let me know.

  • I am always available for any questions and advice.

YOGA INFORMATION

 

 

In addition to her weekly classes, Lina also offers:

  • Relaxation and meditation evenings for private groups.

  • Chair Yoga for private groups.

  • One to one Yoga Sessions for specific conditions such as insomnia or other physical
    reasons.

  • Mentoring to Yoga Teachers.
